I think we are talking about slightly different points

Which is fine.

My focus was on the negotiating power the Alliance will have with the networks. The Alliance controls a lot of viewers and alumni and regions. That is a very valuable commodity.

As for the SEC, yeah they will still get a ton of talent and do well on the field. But this is quickly becoming an arms race financially. And the SEC just lost a lot of scheduling control.
